These days, I'm lovin'....

The way the setting sun lights the birch and aspen a flickering gold against the darkening sky

Warm sweaters and thick socks

Hoping and dreaming of the future

The scent of snow on the wind

Friends stopping by to visit

Sloppy baby kisses

Boards going up on all the seasonal businesses in town; quieter streets and bittersweet goodbyes

The closeness of community, and knowing I've found home

Beautiful music

Cooking comfort food

Devouring book after book after book...

What are you lovin' these days?

  1. We also have more gold and orange on the trees, but I prefer more sunny autumns. Greetings from Poland.

  2. Hi Zim! I'm with you on a sunnier autumn. It's been pretty grey here, too.

  3. Today I am loving corn! Prepping a heap of it for the freezer.

    And frosty mornings. My favorite!

  4. And just curious- what books have you been reading? Anything good?

    1. Hi Kara,

Did you grow your own corn?

I read the Hunger Games trilogy in about 4 days, have you read it? It's impossible to put it down! I also just finished a homesteading memoir called "Made from Scratch" which was funny and a inspiring!

  5. No corn growing here (yet)! Just from superstore. :)

I loved Hunger Games! I read the whole thing in about that time too. Ignored all housework and children! ahhah

I will have to look up that memoir. Right now I am reading a great zombie series called "Autumn". Addicting!

  6. Hm, I love a good zombie story. I'll have to have a look in the library for that one!
